Aim of the Project: To support the reform of the child care system and to assist children and their families in Ukraine by conducting trainings for persons responsible for the implementation of the reform, as well as to develop a strategy and standards for introducing innovative methods in the selected Mykolayiv region.
Period of the implementation: April 2013 - November 2014.
Project Objectives:
- To conduct trainings for specialists who will test the readiness of the child care system for reforms and specify urgent needs to be met to implement these reforms.
- To analyse strengths and resources of the child care institutions in Mykolayiv region.
- To develop a strategy for reforming the institutional child care system in Mykolayiv region at the local level.
- To develop standards for activities of state child care institutions.
- To prepare a national team of trainers on introduction of the system of individual planning of activities with children and their families.
