Project “StepUp Sustainable Training and Enterprise Program (STEP)” is being implemented with funding from the Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.

Period of implementation: January 15, 2026 – July 15, 2027

Project region: Kyiv and Kyiv oblast.

The project is aimed to enhance the economic resilience of IDP women with children and promote the growth of social enterprises in Kyiv and Kyiv oblast by providing with the essential skills, resources, and support networks to successfully launch and expand small businesses and social enterprises, while simultaneously strengthening mental health and promoting social inclusion.

Main activities:

  • entrepreneurship trainings for internally displaced women with children residing in Kyiv and Kyiv oblast to provide them with foundational knowledge and practical tools to launch small businesses;
  • advanced training for growth-stage women who have already launched a small business or attempted entrepreneurial activity and are seeking to strengthen or expand their ventures;
  • personalized follow-up support to graduates of the entrepreneurship training programs by providing mentoring, psychological support, business and legal consultations;
  • disbursing microgrants to women participants of training within the project;
  • Kyiv Regional Social Priorities Think Tank aimed to prioritise list of social issues of IDPs families with that can be addressed through social entrepreneurship;
  • incubation program for initiative groups and civil society organizations aiming to launch or strengthen social enterprises;
  • grant disbursement and implementation support for social enterprises.
