The Project is implemented with the financial support of MATRA program of Netherlands Foreign Affairs Ministry Embassy Royal Netherlands Embassy to Ukraine
The project is designed for 3 years and implemented in 4 regions of Ukraine: Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Khmelnytsky, Crimea.
Project partners: Stichting Op Kleine Schaal, the Netherlands, Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Children and Youth, Ukrainian State Center for Social Services for Youth, Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Khmelnytskyi Oblast State Administration, Cherkasy Regional State Administration, Kirovograd Regional State Administration
Aim: To promote the reform of the care system for orphans and children deprived of parental care towards the development of the institution of foster families as a new family-oriented form of care.
Tasks:
- To promote the reform of the system of child care in Ukraine in the direction of providing a family environment for orphans;
- To strengthen families: as biological or formed because of re-marriage, guardian or adoptive families;
- To promote the formation of a sense of responsibility in the society for the fate of children who need special attention by sharing the knowledge and understanding of their needs among people;
- To promote the physical and mental health of children and young people by providing a safe and educational environment where they can meet their development needs, avoid development gap, and maintain safe family relationships.
