The project “Humanitarian Response for Children’s Resilience in Ukraine through the Healing Forest Program Implementation” is implemented with financial support of Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung e.V. for and Brot für die Welt. 

Period of implementation: August 2026 – January 2029

The project aims to improve emotional wellbeing and psychological resilience of children 4–7 years old as a result of participating in the specialised psychosocial Healing Forest program. 

Main activities:

  • training a group of trainers to further disseminate the “Healing Forest” methodology;
  • conducting training activities for educators on the implementation of the “Healing Forest” programme in pre-school and primary education institutions;
  • conducting information sessions for parents and caregivers of participating children on children’s mental health needs and support in stressful conditions;
  • providing consultative and supervisory support to professionals implementing the “Healing Forest” programme;
  • information and methodological support for specialists who implement the “Healing Forest” program in their institutions
  • organization and holding of networking events to exchange experiences and popularize the “Healing Forest” program.
