The project is supported by ChildFund Deutschland e.V.
Project duration: January - December, 2020
Project goal: support cancer treatment of children in the department of Children's Cancer Center №3 of Volyn Regional Children's Hospital and improve early detection of oncological diseases in children.
Geography: Lutsk city, Volyn region.
Project partners: Charity Fund “STOPRAK”, Children's Cancer Center №3 of Volyn Regional Children's Hospital.
Within the project it is planned:
- to conduct 16 educational trainings for medical personnel (general practitioners, paramedics, family physicians, pediatricians) on early detection of oncological diseases in children. Early diagnosis is relevant in all settings and the majority of cancers. In absence of early diagnosis, patients are diagnosed at late stages when curative treatment may no longer be an option. Detecting cancer early also greatly reduces cancer’s financial impact: not only is the cost of treatment much less in cancer’s early stages.
- сharitable assistance to children with oncological diseases. Provision of the medicine needed to children.
